Shining Wizards 606: El Rudo 501 Jeans

On this week’s show the boys come in hot on a conversation about Jeans. How often does Matt wash his, and what do they smell like? How many pairs of jeans do we own? We catch up with each other about the weekend, Kevin ran into someone he knew at a wrestling show, but didn’t realize it, Tony rubs in the Mets loss to Matt & Kevin has something going on with his hair. Plus we talk about Columbus Day and Pizza.

We transition into some wrestling talk, leading things off with the Vice Tales From the Territories debut show on the Memphis territory. We talk about what we liked about it, and the prospect of some of the upcoming shows, Portland, Mid South and Texas. Vice is also dropping a Vince McMahon 2 Hour Special in a week, so we spitball about that before heading into NWA Territory. Tony really enjoyed NWA USA over NWA Power, so we talk about each shows from the past week, EC3, and we run down the current NWA Hard Times 3 PPV in November.

We then head into AEW Land, and talk about the backstage fight between Andre(Andrade) and Sammy. The verdict is that Tony Khan is to blame for this & Tony goes off on the situation and AEW. We talk Wardlow, Jericho, FTR and more.

We take some time to cover our Impact Bound For Glory Picks, and the PPV itself. What was the match of the night? Kevin has a good idea why Bully Ray won the rumble, but Matt hates it, and Tony seems indifferent.

We talk about our Extreme Rules picks, but briefly touch on the return of Bray Wyatt or the show itself as we are joined by our guest.

El Rudo himself, Sam Adonis joins us ahead of AAA Triplemania XXX

We talk about why he signed the MLW Contract, and what that means for his time in AAA, the importance of Triplemania, what match he is looking forward to most on the show, Bruno, collecting action figures and more. If you aren’t familiar with Sam, this is a great introduction to him.

After a short break, we are joined by Patreon supporter Brendan to take a trip Down the Aisle. Brendan takes us back to the May 2011 Rahway Rec Center for a joint Jersey All Pro/New Japan Pro Wrestling Show. It’s the first round on the Intercontinental Championship Tournament and our minds are blown away with the lineup and the fact that this took place so close to home & we missed it (Well Brendan didn’t, he was at the show)

It’s a fantastic show and a great time!
